The Buttefly Life Cycle

Felix's Mum gave Room 14 some swan plants. Thank you Felix's Mum!

We have been watching the swan plants every day and seen some very exciting changes:

 The caterpillar ate lots of leaves on the swan plant and grew very quickly.

On Friday before we went out for lunch the caterpillar curled up and got ready to make a cocoon.

 

When we came back after lunch we found the caterpillar had made a cocoon! We were amazed at how fast the caterpillar made it's cocoon. Very exciting!

News Time

On Fridays we share our news with the class.

I learnt to ride my bike at school. My Dad taught me to balance on my bike. When I learn to ride my bike my Mum said I can go to a movie.

I found these acorns yesterday. They are for the squirrels tomorrow. The squirrels are going to visit us and they are going to help us do learning and writing.

I went on the rides in Australia. I went on a water slide and I almost drowned. There were rollercoasters and they were fast.

It’s my baby cricket. My Mum caught it and Matthew put a leaf in. It’s just a baby cricket and it’s my Uncle Paul’s birthday. The baby cricket wants the frog Starlight. Starlight will eat him and be happy.

This cricket is going to be eaten by Starlight and we’re going to feed it to him. I put a leaf in and Mum put holes in the container so it can get air. Starlight is going to have this as a meal.

I went to Walking With Dinosaurs. The T-rex came out and the baby T-rex came out. There was thunder! There was a baby dinosaur and some dinosaurs were going to kill it. But the Mummy T-rex came out and scared the dinosaurs away.
